TR Toppers is national food processing company located in Pueblo, CO.  We specialize in processing name brand candies and other types of inclusions that are used in a variety of food products, such as ice creams and cakes, and shipped throughout the company.  We are a progressive family owned business and we are rapidly growing.

SUMMARY: These positions produce safe and quality product for customers. Operates various machinery and mechanical equipment by assembling according to manufacturer instructions manual, following the proper use of the machinery and mechanical equipment, and identifying and troubleshooting malfunctions as needed (must be mechanically inclined which the ability to make repairs on the equipment).


  • Operate various machinery and mechanical equipment.

  • Assemble machine and equipment according to manufacturer instructions manual.

  • Produce a quality package the first time and on time.

  • Responsible for the efficient and effective line change, set up, running adjustments and operation of all packaging/packaging equipment.

  • Operator to make adjustments and repairs to equipment, and notifies supervisor when a major repair is needed.

  • Observe and listen to equipment to detect possible malfunctions and report malfunctions to the supervisor.

  • Accurately complete all line paperwork and keep all related records updated. •

  • Ensure product is packaged in compliance with all operating procedures to support target quality outcomes.

  • Adhere to packaging product Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Comply with all GMP, SQF and food safety standards relating to the packaging operation.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.


  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Must have mechanical/technical aptitude.

  • Experience in assembling and operating various machinery in a food production industry or similar industry.

  • The successful candidate must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

WORK SCHEDULE: 40+ hours a week – Monday to Friday –- (Must be flexible and able to work nights, weekends, overtime to meet the needs of the company).


  • Previous experience baggers or packaging machines, weighing, dicing, and weighing equipment in food production facility or like industry.


  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret procedures or governmental regulations.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Ability to write correspondence and provide input into procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and others as needed.

  • Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Equipment maintenance and general plant maintenance.

  • Must be self-starter and ability to work independently with little direct supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a team setting to include a strong personal accountability, and the ability to build excellent working relationships with a team.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific abilities required by this job include no food allergies, close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception. Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for 8 hours daily; and perform repetitive motion work.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to freezer conditions and a loud to moderate noise level.
